Hi! I am Hailey and I suppose this semester I will identify as a college fashionista. What makes me an expert on fashion for Texas State? Well for starters I don’t exclusively own lululemon shorts and oversized t-shirts (just kidding!). But I believe life is all about expressing yourself, and I’ve always stood out amongst others, when it came to clothing.

Growing up I had 4 siblings and my mom couldn’t afford to buy us all new clothes like everyone at school, I quickly learned that I had to develop my own style in order to feel confident. I started thrift shopping when I was 8 and it’s a hobby that has stuck with me in my adult life.

I also enjoy following trends and using them to inspire me to create new pieces to add to my wardrobe. I also enjoy bringing new life to items such as painting a pair of shoes or making a dress into a 2-piece set.

But don’t just think I am a thrift shopping queen, I actually have an addiction shopping anywhere and EVERYWHERE. One of my favorite past times is spending HOURS in Target (Seriously, it’s almost like as if time runs differently there)

I hope this blog will inspire others to recreate their wardrobe or at least teach people a thing or two.
